Onion Knight Tor Browser (“we”, “us”, “our”, or the “App”) is committed to protecting your privacy to the maximum extent possible. This Privacy Policy explains what information we may collect when you use our Tor-based anonymization + VPN application, how we use it, and the steps we take to keep it secure.

By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

We designed Onion Knight Tor Browser with a strict no-logs philosophy. Specifically:

• We do not collect or log any of your online activity, including websites visited, DNS queries, IP addresses of destinations, emails, messages, or any content of your traffic.
• We do not collect personally identifiable information (name, email, phone number, payment details, etc.).
• We do not track your device identifiers, advertising IDs, or location data beyond what is strictly necessary for the VPN/Tor connection itself.
• Apple (via in-app purchases) handles all subscription billing and payment information. We never receive or store your credit card or Apple ID payment data.

2. Minimal Information We May Collect

To operate the service securely and provide basic functionality, we may automatically receive and store the following anonymous technical data:

• Connection timestamps and duration (for security and troubleshooting only).
• Total data transferred (for fair-usage monitoring and network health).
• Server connection attempts and error logs (strictly technical, no user-identifying information).

This data is stored for a maximum of 30 days and is automatically deleted thereafter. It cannot be used to identify you or reconstruct your browsing history.

We do not use third-party analytics tools (Google Analytics, Firebase, etc.) that could track you across apps or websites.

3. How We Use the Information

We use the minimal technical data solely for:

• Maintaining and improving the stability, speed, and security of the App.
• Detecting and preventing abuse or violations of our Terms & Conditions (e.g., fair usage).
• Generating aggregated, anonymized statistics about overall network performance (never linked to individual users).
• Responding to technical support requests (if you voluntarily contact us).

We never use your data for marketing, profiling, or advertising purposes.

4. Sharing and Disclosure of Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade any user data to third parties.

We may disclose minimal technical logs only in the following cases:

• When compelled by a valid court order or subpoena from a court of competent jurisdiction in the United States. Even then, the data we hold is so minimal that it cannot reveal your browsing activity or identity.
• To trusted service providers (e.g., server hosting partners) who are bound by strict confidentiality obligations and process data only on our behalf.
• In the event of a corporate merger or acquisition, provided the new owner agrees to the same no-logs protections.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-leading physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the extremely limited data we do hold. All server-side logs are encrypted at rest and in transit. Our infrastructure is designed from the ground up to make user identification technically impossible.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Even though we collect almost no personal data, you still have rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• Right to know what data (if any) we hold about you.
• Right to request deletion of any technical logs associated with your sessions.
• Right to opt out of any future data processing (though we already minimize it to the absolute minimum).

7. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently received data from a child, we will delete it immediately.

8. International Users

Our servers are located in jurisdictions that respect strong privacy protections. If you are accessing the App from outside the United States, please note that your connection data may be processed in the U.S. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.

9. Links to Other Websites or Services

The App may contain links to external websites or services. Once you leave our App, we have no control over those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised accordingly. We will notify you of material changes directly in the App. Your continued use of the App after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
